V day irony..

V day anyone? i have never celebrated valentine's. not in school.. not in uni (i dont consider getting flowers & chocolates a celebration).. not even after i've started working. not because of the it - was - paderi - punya - hari day fiasco.. but because i would either be :

a. single during V-day
b. dating but broke up just in time for V-day

caveman doesn't even know when valentine is.. (geng caveman memang rupe ini gamaknye) and he was never around during V-day. he was in Rotterdam when we were dating.. in Kemaman when we were engaged. and today he's in labuan.

not that i mind.. i think V-day is sooo overrated. do i really need to wait for that tengah bulan dua (time gaji takde lak tu) to get pressies? eeeeeee... but for those who loves it.. Happy Valentine's Day to you peeps.. *grin*

so today to avoid all the V-day specials on telly.. my parents & i drove to Ipoh, Jalan Kuala Kangsar precisely.. as we find out KK Home Deco has opened its branch there. wee!! it was huge. and we had a field day. as Jln Kuala Kangsar is also home to many, many nurseries & pots & gardening stores. murahhh wooo.... but there werent many flowers. only pots.

we came home with a new set of teacups & teapots (i have a thing for teapots).. a cute ceramic telephone.. a purple teapot (get my drift??) .. and a few other nonsense...

anything to avoid the telly v day specials.. *LOL*

having 2 boys is difficult in my uber spotless mushroom. the moment i drop my magic domestic wand... the crumbs are everywhere again. huarghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

mid morning..
being aa corporate slave who's planning on an unpaid towards the end of the month.. i went back to the office today only to find the aircond is not working. then sexyback came to work too. damn. then i couldn't print the damn 6 pages i needed. shits. then sexyback fixed the aircond. shittyy! time to make like a fly.. and .. err.. fly?? lame. m old.

kids acting up. took em to an autocar wash.. rawang takde gamaknye.. excited macam gi circus. well.. i was the first time too.. so oklah... we're genetically compatible.. *LOL* some gas station has no gas. fuhh.. angin naik kat kepala wa. dripping ice creams in the bat mobile. fuhh..kids... sabor.. sabor..

later afternoon..
kena tiaw dgn mak sedara wa. tiba2. ni yang wa angin ni. in difficult times like these.. we should all reflect on ourselves & do something. instead of texting.. calling .. or every freakin move.. then panic.. major point.. nothing was done if really my grandmother is on a relapse. nothing. so.. pe hal plak wa yang nak kena marah? sebab wa cakap.. sume tunggu mama wa balik baru nak gerak? betul kan? it was like that when we first admitted mak to the hospital. betul kan? what the fuck...

there was a meeting done somewhere earlier this week where sexyback could not stop irritating hte life out of me. and to make things worst.. he added 2 more files to my review list. 2!! i already have 20! up to early of september.. i was down to 8. then the bloody system was down.. and we're pressed for time this week. and he just had to add another 2. i have no idea where it came from. which, is unfair.. as it was not in the list he gave us in august. sucks rite? like him la.. sucky.



so in between my frantic drive around to get things done for the wedding.. we were all super stressed out at the office while he (sexy back).. were out collecting raya hampers. yes. he gets hampers from OUR customers. sucks again right?

but today.. on a sunday.. i manage to complete all of the remaining files. of course.. they weren't the best.. and of course i have boycotted the recent 3 (on friday he gave me another 1.. suckss super ..) and tonight.. i finally can hit the bed with a clear head.

man i need a good massage!

i was supposed to unpack the huge suitcase i've brought to the mushroom pad.. it's half of my current wardrobe. i ended up cleaning up the pad for i haven't been in it for 3 days. yes, 3 days collects quite a dust. have no idea where they came from, especially when the doors & windows are shut.

so there goes my new wardrobe project.. came instead.. i need a maid project. 1 1/2 storey of sweeping and mopping and scrubbing (3 loos) and what have yous is no joke. and this house doesn't even have much stuff to begin with. i think when i finally get it furnished, then probably it won't be so much work (can sweep under the carpet.. or chair.. haha)

but then again.. could it be the fasting month that got me super tired cleaning up the pad?



anyways.. to housewives.. s.a.l.u.t!

p/s : yes.. i don't do much housework *LOL*

A Fishy Affair

what a weekend. it was meant for us to meet as many of our peeps & to get as many things done (yes, caveman & i are super planning freaks) ... but we ended doing maybe a totally different agenda (but still keeping it withing our limited time frame)

to cut a long story short (and save my neck).. caveman and i headed for the ever so humid & busy Jalan TAR for his samping.. it took us 1 hour to complete this task.. and got our ass out of there as i got really2 hungry... and moody.. *LOL*

then came the part we've been waiting for.. the FISH SPA!! after a so-so lunch.. we tracked our the fish docs.. and to my delight.. it was really2 fun. super ticklish.. these tiny (and some big) fishes would bite and nimble.. eeeeeee geliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!! i was screaming.. and caveman was.. well.. dalam usaha cover line.. pun terpaksa jerit2 gak. LOL!

the smaller fishes would feel like tiny electric shocks.. but the bigger ones would bite bite bite! you can actually feel its teeth. hee. but the result..? soft feet... aaawwww *LOL*

caveman was so addicted to this fish spa.. he dragged me to the one in midvalley the next day. crazy. but it was actually a better one compared to the one in pavilion.. where the fishes are segregated according to its sizes.

and our mission to find the perfect sandal... failed. the crocs hated my feet (its made for volumptuous feet).. clarks has no colour .. hush puppies?? blergh. and the new nike..? yucks!

before 9am : screamed out of tune, in the office.. HAPPYYYY BIRTHDAAAYYY SYEEDDD!!

before 10am : met my 1st deadline.. phew!

before 11am : 2nd deadline kapish.. the system died on me

before 12 pm : driving to KL *LOL*

before 1pm : stopped for ribena as my gula level surged too low. halucination alert *LOL*

before 2pm : still driving.. singing on top of my out of tune lungs

before 3pm : had sundae w/ caveman. wee

before 4pm : caveman all confused. me? even more confused. oh yea.. we were at Ikea.

before 5pm : trolley 1/2 full

before 6pm : trolley full. next.. cupcakechic!!!!!! finally had red velvet.. yumss!!

before 7pm : made our way to the gardens

before 8pm : sighh... chill.. at last. what a long day. cik mong txt me saying sexyback was looking for me to take pics w/ the auditors. blergh. buang masa.

so that was what i did on that historical day. caveman & were joking bout how we were supposed to be married that day.. but our logic mind said.. NO!!! hahaha!

little miss sleepy

with the auditors around.. i couldn't update the blog at the office.

with the damn broadband always disappointing.. i couldn't update the blog at home either..

i was away for the weekend.. supposedly for a wedding. but mom&cousin were more enthusiastic about the Nilai trip. the hubbies just tag along. the soon to be hubby? managed to come up w/ an escape plan *LOL*

we went to the wedding.. just minutes after another shopping trip at macy's. but as the car boot (and back seat) is filled to the roof, i had no choice but to drag caveman to sungai besi next weekend. yes, i'll be in town next weekend too. last call for the wedding & mushroom pad shopping trip.



the wedding? yes, it was good. apart from the fact that i was dragged to it. i only went because my grandma was there (yes miss fyfy, both yours & mine were there)..

m driving to ipoh tomorrow.. at 7am!! sexyback just had to do this to me. blergh!! but let's just see how it goes.. when no one's loooking... heheheh!

up & about..

many may have noticed my haterating mood. and some thought it's bad for my seri pengantin.

still, nothing was done to improve that. for i went to work on a sunday.. and sexyback was still there. luckily, he got there after we're in our car.. ready to drive home *phew* but a lot was done.. & m glad. but no, its not over & done w/. come to think about it.. its work. its never ending. it comes in a package. *grin*

but the mood was a bit better. yes, definitely PMS. but for the first time in 17 years, my buddy came in right on time, w/ no horrid hiccups. i guess the you know what is working la puan honey *LOL*

but m still feeling guilty for missing diana's wedding. sigh.

Day 2 .. bridezilla no more!

after a good night sleep & cold showers & a pancake & jam breakfast (yes, only).. we elves headed back to Tanarimba. today we were to set up the entire place, do soundchecks & bla bla.

as the maid of honour (sabina) did her rounds of rehearsal.. i was starting to get into my emo mood. shitz. tu baru practise, belum btul2 lagi tu. hehe!

fast forwarding the setting up of the table (we were so on overdrive) and our frantic 30 mins getting ready for the reception.. finally the moment arrived.

lis arrived & she looked like a dream. i felt my cheeks got warmer but being the videographer (and not good at it, to add. hei, try taking videos, crying, in kebaya & heels!) i still need to remained somewhat calm (rigghhht).

she walked down the aisle, to my delight, my uber fav Grey's soundtrack - Ingrid Michaelson The Way I Am. arghhh... tahan lagi ni .. padahal air mata dah bergenang2 dah.. aduhh.. i can see the bridesmaids are all having the same "wont cry now wont cry now" look.

but during the reading of the vows, all hell breaks lose! the bridesmaid were crying a river. including me of course.hahaha! Ivan & Elise looked so happy. the vows were straight forward & touching. after reviewing the video, i realised i got Ivan's vos chopped up here & there, cos the photographer was walking by. damn!

despite some technical drama (hint : a ring m.i.a ;) ) it went so well. and the casualness & chillness of elise that i've known since forever was still there. i've never a bride so chill! hehe!

the reception proceeded to the Tea Ceremony, while the guests chilled w/ cocktail & hoers-de-vores. and the elves went back to work *grin*

dinner started at 5pm.. and it was good. desserts? yumss. screw diet.. its my bestie's wedding la!

but it was time for teary eyed again when the maid of honour walked in & sang Etta James At Last. sigh. then came Alicia Keys If I Aint Got You. man this woman's singing gave the chills! but it was her rendition of You Raised Me Up (Westlife / Josh Groban, take your pick) was the ultimate tear jerker. abis mascara aku!


then the party kicked into full swing.. i ofcourse was the designated driver.. and towards the end of the night, i kept losing my drunk children *LOL* but it was my first kebaya party, so it was difficult in the beginning hahahah! btu it was a great party, ended early.. but great.

and did i mention my childhood crush was there..? yummymummy&lis would know. and m still laughing when i think bout him. lucky die kenal lagi aku.. tak kalu, bikin malu gua je.. hahahaha!

to conclude...i luv lis's wedding. one of the best, the dreamiest wedding, ever! my prayers & love goes to Mr & Mrs Yeo... yammmmmmmmmmsennng!

in the evening of a Saturday..

seperti biasa.. selepas mengerah dan mengarah dan memerah tenaga - tenaga percuma (cheap & free labour), saya mengheret lil missy entourage to kopitiam. chief khadam said she's addicted to the icy cold hazelnut white coffee. me too actually, there goes my anti ice diet *LOL*

tengok gelak2 sambil tersedak2.. there was a txt from endar (my super Bandung seamstress)

in the afternoon of a Saturday..

after the pecah tanah event, i had to make my way to my mushroom pad. the contractor needed my approval on the bathroom. lucky the lady at the shop where i bought the bathroom stuff gave me some inputs & sketched the layout on the house plan.


when i got there.. my room looked super different. i guess the extra space the bathroom took made the bedroom looked not too much of a vacant land *LOL*

figuring out what goes where was easy. but i did not like the idea of a tiled up bathroom. not only it is costly.. but cold at the same time. i've been seeing a lot of framed walls ideas on telly ( no thanks to Travel & Living and Home & Health). i think ( i think la..) it would look fab beside the bath tub. instead of having it tiled up to the ceiling.

so in petang, we returned to the mushroom pad cos my dad needed to save the bed & mattress in my room, cos i told him its all dusty from the construction work. we ( him & uncle actually) managed to dismantle the heavy kayu jati bed (i dunno, but it sure it heavy) and set it up in the guest room.

as we did our rounds to see what other minor details we might've missed, abah found these 2 frames in the store. kewl innit? you think i could use it in the bathroom? leave your opinions in the comments box e..

and we also found an antique marble phone & a pretty crystal lamp & an antique japanese dining table. woaaa!!! i called the owner & to my delight she said i can have em all. she said her hubby bought the phone from Italy. entahla, i didn't even took it out of the box *LOL*

in the morning of a Saturday..

it felt like yesterday i was blogging about last Saturday.. now, it's Saturday again! time flies too fast these days.. so peeps.. repent *wink*

anyway, as always.. it has been been a super tiring Saturday. 1, tak leh bangun lambat sebab no 2, ade keje. huarghhh!! on a Saturday! bangla pun cuti sabtu k..

it was a ground breaking event, our MB was there. during his speech, dah macam a political rally la plak. though i've never been to one, but m sure it must've sounded something like that. not going to elaborate, me no like politics.

it was done in the middle of nowhere of the Lumut port. amazingly, under the hot sun, the canopy came out tops cos it almost got me feeling as if i was indoors!

so on Monday i had to show sexyback the pics i took, as a proof that syedoti, cik mong & i went to the event. heh. of course, i will leave the part where our super important client came up to me & introduce herself.. instead of the other way around. and dumdum me was so dumbfounded all i could say was .. " *gasp* aaa" syedoti almost strangled me for that *LOL* hei.. m not a morning person ok.... *grin*

the ground our MB dug up & planted a tree.. i so wanna try that excavator.. *LOL*

surprise..surprise..

it has been a very tiring.. but a very good weekend..

1. send my little brother off, new semester.. which made me wonder.. why kids these days are so spoilt? i remembered yummymummy & i would walk back to our houses (the bus ride took hours to reach home) in the wee hours of the morning when we get home for our semester breaks.

2. lights, camera.. action..! who would've thought its so stressful? i thought i knew exactly what i wanted. until.. it is down between the black or, the red chandelier. take your pick peeps..

3. shop some more.. some amazing kedai baju yang hebat di nilai 3 *LOL* i know i should'nt.. but the poison is too strong!

4. super, super yummy foods. mental note.. must learn to cook from my mak long in batu pahat. i have probably put back on 5kg *LOL*

5. more shopping.. IKEA! woohoo! more new things.. and things i like..but m not supposed to shop. the idea was to get 20 white pots and m outta there! but then again.. m only human.. *LOL*

as i push the trolley aimlessly.. (heavy ok) i saw this mat salleh staring at me.. ler... its bestie lis!!!! i wanted to text her early in the morning, to kidnap her for some carb yummies..(cuppies to be exact) but figured she'd be too busy.. then i totally forgot about it.. until i bumped into her & her bridezilla entourage (they were her mates, not peeps btw *LOL*) it felt so good seeing her again. i have not seen her since last Syawal. and she looked good, as always. with her new mak datin curly wurly (ei, u yang insist kan.. i didn't think so anyway hehe). luck w/ the hundreds of u know wuts.. *LOL*

6. as i tip toed my way to cupcake chic ( i HAVE to!!!).. i bought a dozen of em.. i luvv the banana cuppies. oklah.. from 1 dozen, i ate only 1 1/2 ok.. honest! *LOL* the rest were for the hostesses.. (thanks the husseins!) but the funny thing was.. the whole time i was walking back to ikea from the curve.. i kept thinking.. matila kalau chubby buddies aku nampak aku beli cupcake.. and BAMMM! lis was standing in front of me at the exit *LOL* terkejut mak mah! hahahahahha!

sigh... back to work tomorrow.... *sob*

p/s : i miss caveman. kat nilai 3 tu.. orang sume beli barang dengan tunang. i? sorang2 angkat 2 bekas bunga pahar.. 5 stalks of hydrangeas.. kat ikea pun.. everyone was with someone discussing rooms & area.. aku? pusing2 pening2 sorang2..
